My School Year Session begins on Monday August 10th. I'll be contacting families regarding their school year lesson time this week if I haven't already done so.

Beginning on August 10th tuition will increase $3/lesson.

Since the Halloween recital is just around the corner on October 25th, I thought I'd share one of my favorite passages from Practice Pie by Nicola Cantan.

"I'm not trying to say that a music student who doesn't practice won't make any progress at all or that a teacher will make them fell bad if they don't. But it's a lot more fun when you feel like you're getting somewhere. It's that forward momentum that will eventually cause your child to become self-motivated to practice and work hard at music even when it's difficult.

So the equation is not:

If my child enjoys music,

then they will practice.

It's:

If my child practices,

they're more likely to enjoy music"
