I have broken up the year into 2 sessions: The School Year Session, and the Summer Session. Tuition for new students starting mid-session will be pro-rated.
All students need to schedule a lesson day and time for the School Year Session. I do not offer make-up lessons. However, if you check in with me and I have a cancellation, you are welcome to switch to that time slot. Summer Session scheduling can be flexible. Lessons are available in my studio as well as virtually on Zoom and FaceTime.

My studio vacations are coordinated with the Washoe County School District vacations. Click on the Calendar link at the top of the page to view my calendar.
If the Washoe County School District declares a snow day, I will contact you to see if you want to brave the roads or switch to an online lesson.
Recitals and Competitions:
Recitals will be held three times a year at the McKinley Arts & Culture Center located at 925 Riverside Dr. There is a $15 recital fee for all participating students. I also offer my students the opportunity to participate in the Northern Nevada Music Teachers Association’s Reno Youth Festival and the National Federation of Music Clubs Festival each spring, the Silver State Musikfest each Fall, and the Northern Nevada Music Teachers Association Christmas Playathon Fundraiser each December.
Lulls in inspiration and motivation are normal for even the most dedicated musicians. If you or your child is thinking about withdrawing from lessons, please contact me as soon as possible. Usually a change in approach, teaching style, or music will re-inspire and motivate a student. Because of this, I encourage anyone thinking of withdrawing to finish the current session. If you cannot complete the session I will refund your tuition for the remainder of the session.
How to Contact Me:
In order to provide you and your child with the highest quality lessons, I do not answer my phone during lessons. If you have a last-minute scheduling conflict, you can leave me a text message and I will check my messages between lessons.
