I booked our 2024 recital season at the McKinley Arts and Culture Center. Note that the Halloween recital is earlier in October than usual due to McKinley being used for the election.

Now that we're entering a new year, new semester, and new recital season, I want to share a useful practice tip.

• In order to create a successful practicing habit, you need to make practicing fun to repeat. I like to think that practicing is super fun, but I admit that it's work, and sometimes it's hard work. Try bundling something fun with your practice time. Creativity and personalization is the name of the game here. Perhaps try a special snack that you really look forward to and only consume during practice time. Or watch an episode of a favorite show right after practicing so the two are linked together into a fun activity you look forward to.
